HOLDEN TORANA LC GTR-XU-1

Featured on this site will be the restoration of my LC Torana GTR-XU-1. The car ia now metallic blue, but will be resprayed back to the original factory colour, Rally Red. The car will be returned to as close to factory as possible. The LC Torana GTR-XU-1 was powered by a 186 engine, featuring triple CD 150 carbs, 1.62" inlet and 1.41" exhaust valves. The motor developed 160 gross h.p. at 5200 RPM and 190 ft lbs of torque at 3600 RPM. This power , coupled with a light car gave exceptional performance. The car also featured a 17 gallon fuel tank, front disc brakes, headers and a 2 inch exhaust system. |

Racing Information The Torana XU-1 was a formidable oppanent on the race track. With numerious wins in all varieties of motor sport. Brock's win in a LJ XU-1 at Bathurst in 1972, possibly the most memorable, against the V8 powered Ford GTs. |
